Stimulus
Definisi stimulus menurut kamus oxford adalah sesuatu yang bisa membangkitkan aktivitas ataupun energi pada seseorang atau sesuatu benda berupa dorongan atau insentif.
Pengertian stimulus dalam sistem evaluasi pembelajaran adalah pertanyaan atau perintah yang dapat menimbulkan respon dari peserta didik.
Dalam sistem evaluasi atau tes pembelajaran guru atau pelaksana tes disebut tester, sedangkan murid atau peserta didik disebut testee.
Stimulus yang diberikan di dalam sebuah tes/evaluasi kepada peserta didik atau testee bertujuan untuk menilai atau mengukur aspek-aspek tertentu dari sebuah hasil pembelajaran.
Stimulus-stimulus ini nantinya akan berbentuk pertanyaan dalam sebuah ujian baik secara lisan ataupun tulisan. Reaksi dari stimulus adalah jawaban atau solusi.

Respon
Testee memperhatikan dan mengamati gambar-gambar benda secara seksama kemudian menjawab atau menuliskan pada lembar jawaban dengan baik dan benar.

Testee diberikan beberapa kosa kata acak dengan tema tertentu kemudian diminta merangkainya menjadi kalimat yang sempurna.
Respon
Testee mengamati kosakata acak dengan tema tertentu kemudian merangkainya menjadi kalimat yang sempurna.

Stimulus
Testee diberikan sebuah teks bahasa arab dengan tema tertentu kemudian diminta menuliskan semua kosakata yang terdapat dalam teks tersebut untuk diterjemahkan kedalam bahasa indonesia dengan bantuan kamus.
Respon
Testee membaca teks bahasa arab dengan teliti kemudian menuliskan semua kosakata yang terdapat dalam teks tersebut dan menerjemahkannya kedalam bahasa indonesia dengan bantuan kamus.

Respon

Testee diperlihatkan sebuah huruf hijaiyyah kemudian diminta menuliskan lima kosakata bahasa arab yang diawali dengan huruf tersebut.
Respon
Testee memperhatikan huruf hijaiyyah yang diperlihatkan kemudian menuliskan lima kosa kata bahasa arab yang diawali dengan huruf trsebut.
