1. Niat ikhlas karena Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. 2. Memulai dengan hamdalah dan memuji Allah. 3. Memulai dengan bershalawat atas nabi Muhammad SAW. 4. Juga mengakhiri dengan hamdalah dan shalawat. 5. Mantap dalam berdoa dan yakin akan dikabulkan. 6. Sungguh-sungguh ketika berdoa dan tidak buru-buru. 7. Menghadirkan hati dalam berdoa. 8. Tetap berdoa pada saat sejahtera dan saat menderita. 9. Melembutkan suara ketika berdoa. 10. Mengakui perbuatan dosa serta meminta ampun darinya. 11. Mengakui nikmat serta bersyukur kepada Allah atasnya. 12. Tidak menggunanakan kata-kata yang bertele-tele dan sukar. 13. Menundukkan hati, fokus dan penuh harap. 14. Menigakalin doa (Mengulang 3x). 15. Menghadap kiblat. 16. Mengangkat dan membentangkan tangan saat berdoa. 17. Berwudhu’ sebelum berdoa. 18. Tidak menyalahi dalam berdoa. 19. Hendaknya berdoa untuk diri sendiri dulu jika ingin berdoa untuk orang lain. 20. Bertawasal kepada sifat dan nama-nama Allah (Asmaul Husna). 21. Bertawasal dengan amal yang baik. 22. Makanan, minuman dan pakaiannya halal. 23. Tidak berdoa untuk perbuatan dosa atau memutus tali silaturrahmi (persaudaraan). 24. Mengajak kepada kebaikan dan mencegah dari yang mungkar. 25. Menjauhi dari segala dosa, baik dosa kecil maupun dosa besar.
