Para sahabat Nabi Muhammad memiliki sifat dan sifat yang membedakan mereka satu sama lain. Para sahabat Nabi Muhammad juga memiliki beberapa sifat positif dan layak menjadi panutan bagi umat Islam.
Gelar Para Sahabat Rasulullah
Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq ra.
Muslim memanggilnya Rash Siddique yang berarti berbuat adil. Gelar ini diberikan oleh Allah langsung dari mulut malaikat Jibril dan diutus melalui Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam dan umatmu tidak akan percaya dengan apa yang telah kamu alami. Tetapi Abu Bakar menerima perkataan Rasulullah (SAW) karena dia siddiq (memverifikasi) jelas Jibril.
Umar bin Al khattab ra.
Dia adalah Nabi yang sangat kuat tetapi lembut hatinya. Gelarnya adalah Amirul Mukminin yaitu Pemimpin Orang Beriman. Menurut riwayat gelar ini diucapkan ketika duta besar Irak Labid bin Rabiah dan Adi bin Hatim bertemu dengan Amr bin Ash di masjid Nabawi. Dia ingin bertemu Umar dan memanggilnya Amirul Mukhminin. Mendengar gelar ini Amr bin Ash menyetujui gelar Umar. Dan setelah itu Umar disebut sebagai pemimpin orang beriman bahkan dalam surat-surat.
Utsman bin Affan ra.
Untuk gelar ini Zun Nur Ayn diberikan Penguasa Dua Cahaya. Karena ia menikahkan kedua putri Nabi Ruqayyah dan Ummu Kultsum. Para ulama mengatakan bahwa tidak ada sahabat Nabi yang menikah dengan kedua putri Nabi kecuali Utsman bin Affan. Ruqayyah menikah sebelum pesan Nabi dikirim. Ruqayyah meninggal dalam perang Badar sehingga Utsman tidak diperbolehkan ikut perang Badar karena mengurus jenazah istrinya. Sepeninggal istri pertamanya Utsman menikah lagi dengan putri Nabi lainnya Ummu Kultsum.
Hamzah bin Abdul Muthalib
Paman Nabi Muhammad ini terkenal dengan keberaniannya. Dia adalah orang yang cerdas dan bijaksana. Gelar Nabi adalah Asadullah yang artinya singa dan utusan Tuhan. Semasa hidupnya ia selalu melindungi Nabi dari kekhawatiran kaum Quraisy. Bahkan ketika perang Badar terjadi dan banyak orang kafir Quraisy terbunuh oleh pedangnya keberaniannya selalu menakuti orang kafir Quraisy.
Khalid bin Walid
Seorang pejuang yang hebat dan banyak ditakuti oleh musuh. Ia diberi gelar Saifullah yang berarti Pedang Allah. Ketika Khalid menerima petunjuk dia bertemu Nabi mengajar Shah menanggalkan jubah kerajaannya dengan kancing emas dan mahkota bertatahkan berlian dan menyerahkannya kepada Nabi. Ia mengatakan bahwa dengan pedang ini Khalid akan berperang bersamanya membela agama Allah dan Nabi memberi gelar pedang tersebut Saifullah yang berarti Pedang Allah. Khalid bergabung dengan tentara Muslim dan Nabi memberinya pangkat panglima tertinggi. Kedatangannya menguatkan kaum muslimin dan banyak sekali para sahabat yang berbudi pekerti luhur dan patut diteladani.
